Our mission is to broaden access to food security by delivering incremental value to the stores that donate food, empowering non-profits to scale up and democratizing food rescue for individuals.
Often, convenience comes from familiarity, for businesses, non-profits and for individuals. So, why should food rescue work any differently than ordering food on your favorite app like UberEats or Grubhub?
With this guiding principle, Leftovers.today will aim to operate like existing food marketplace apps that we are all familiar with where businesses process donations, non-profits and customers claim donations just like a food pickup order. This means no new training or workflows are required for the staff at a business.
